These are the nest boxes that we are going to instal soon in Rivas Vaciamadrid. The goal is to give owls and kestrels nesting places to settle in the area and thus become valuable allies for the farmers against voles. This is a totally natural system and that obviously has not the harmful effects on biodiversity of chemical pesticides. In addition, we plan to install wooden stakes that raptors can use as hunting watchtowers from which access to rodents that feed on crops. These actions are performed within our AgroSOStainable project, which began in 2014 with the support of the Fundación Biodiversidad of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment.
