A few days ago we told you that the nest boxes placed on crop fields adhered to our AgroSOStainable project, which we are developing with the support of the Biodiversity Foundation, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment and the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) were being occupied by little owls (Athene noctua) among other species. Some couples already had eggs.

In Brinzal, the unrecoverable couples will be responsible for caring for orphans who enter our center very soon, also they made their corresponding egg laying and many eggs are about to hatch. In fact the first of these little creatures have left the shell.

These small and those that will enter in Brinzal, will be cared by their parents, biological or adoptive, and in late summer they will join the depleted stocks of little owl in Community of Madrid.

We told you that these animals are the main allies of farmers against pests because one single family can hunt thousands of rodents each season, thus avoiding the use of poisons, so harmful to everyone.
